Time-honoured tapestries – public space interventions for Afrikaanderwijk in Rotterdam

In my master’s design project (Post St’Joost 2008), I created a visual system of public space interventions that tell the history of Afrikaanderwijk, from its founding in 1900 to the distant future in 2100. This campaign aims to foster social cohesion based on a shared past and a common future perspective.

The project won the ADI Design Award and was featured in OUTPUT, an international design yearbook.
